What is the purpose of a small group? Small groups are simply a way to organize and mobilize God’s people to do the things he has called us to do through his Word. They provide a biblical strategy for God’s people to reveal Christ to others throughout the world (Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 2:42). The goal is for participants to draw closer to God as they grow closer to one another in community. These two movements feed into each other; consequently, participants are empowered to make disciples of Jesus Christ, thereby becoming stronger disciples themselves.
Inwardly growing with God can inspire us to Outwardly Serve for God. Small groups provide an avenue for all members to make intentional connections with other brothers and sisters in Christ.
Investing in intentional connections can lead to personal ministry:
Discovery of one’s own contributions to the Kingdom
Equipping others to live their life on mission
Help members become stronger Christians for service in ministry
Encouragement and inspiration to live as a true disciple of Christ
If you join a small group, you'll meet weekly with others in a home-based setting to:
Study and discuss the Word under the guide of a facilitator
Share stories, trials, and prayers
Encourage each other to live life on mission
For Fall of 2021, our small groups will be studying: 1 Corinthians: Basic Christian Living Brief Synopsis: When Paul wrote to the Corinthians, he knew they needed to be instructed in the basics. Today, we also need to be taught the basics of the Christian life. This study on 1 Corinthians will remind us why we go to church, how to use our bodies to honor God, how to find unity in diversity, how to love, serve, and worship together, and how to face death.
We would love to meet you!
